What is True BusinessID™
Wildcard?
Secure Multiple Sites with One SSL
Certificate
The True BusinessID Wildcard certificate is for
customers who need to secure multiple websites,
with the same domain name, on a single server.
It is a cost-effective and easy to implement
solution for web hosting companies and
enterprises hosting multiple subdomains off
their base domain. What does this mean? For
example, with Wildcard certificates your
customer can secure:
www.mycompany.com
shop.mycompany.com
extranet.mycompany.com
download.mycompany.com
support.mycompany.com
with one Wildcard certificate if all
the websites are hosted on the same server.
As their online demands grow, your customers can
add unlimited subdomains to the same server at
no additional cost. They save time and money
when acquiring and managing multiple server
certificates.
True BusinessID Wildcard includes the same
complete bundle of security features for
end-to-end Internet security coverage as True
BusinessID: full 128 bit encryption, 98% browser
compatibility and identity verification True
Site seal that is embedded with their company
name, date and time stamp.
This is the only next generation digital
certificate that combines state-of-the-art 128
bit encryption and identity verification in a
single bundle.

to submitting a certificate application. The
information can usually be changed by yourself,
using the username and password provided by your
Reseller.

From the time

for a Web Server Certificate takes 2 to 3
business days.
How will I
know if my application for a Geotrust Web Server
Certificate has been successful (or not)?
You will be
notified when the verification process is
completed. If your application has been
accepted, you will receive your certificate via
an e-mail sent to the administrative and
technical contacts
What can I do if
my application is not successful?
If your Web Server Certificate application is
rejected, you can work with the Support Team to
determine the best way to submit a new
application. The main reasons that can lead an
application to fail are:
- The domain
name in the CSR is not registered to the
authorizing business/organization.
- CSR is
incorrectly formatted
